Community Involvement

Sarasota Christian Church is committed to our community.
We believe Christ has called us to be a light, a friend and a servant to
our neighbors, so we are always looking for opportunities to show Sarasota
we care!
We are a host location for Manna Ministries' free
bread program, distributing surplus baked goods from Publix and Panera
bread to whomever comes, in our fellowship hall every Saturday at 8:30 am
and Sunday mornings during services.
The church maintains a food pantry to assist our
neighbors in need with emergency non-perishables.
We are a polling station for Precinct
107 and encourage you to participate in the privilege of democracy.
The church has hosted several home school activities,
including special programs of the support group Learning
and Families.
We host the Moms
In Touch prayer support group for Riverview High School on
Wednesdays at 12:30 pm. For more information or this group or other
Moms In Touch groups for local schools, please call Patti
Rhodes at 925-9029.
We are the host location for a once-a-week culture/language
school for children with Polish heritage.
An adult special olympics team practices on our
soccer field on the "back forty."
We also organize special events specifically designed to
serve our neighbors, such as:
Free coffee drive-bys
Spring and fall block parties
Fall harvest festival
Christmas Wonderland
Community Easter egg hunt
Please visit our events
calendar to see what's coming up!
For more information on any of the above opportunities,
please contact us.
