Ministry to Children and
Young Families
At Sarasota Christian we believe all children are precious gifts from
God! Our volunteers are ready to share Bible teaching, friendship
and fun with your little ones.
Weekly Programs
We have learning opportunities for children
every Sunday at 9:15 am (Sunday School) as well as 10:30 am (children's worship), and on Wednesday evenings at
7:00 pm.
Caring volunteers staff the nursery, toddler and
preschool areas offered throughout the 10:30 worship service. A mother's
room is also available, with sound and a one-way view of the service,
as an additional option for those caring for infants.
Our 10:30 children's worship for kids in grades
K-5 starts out with parents in the worship center, to help the children
stay connected to the whole church and understand the adult worship
setting. Just before the sermon, the elementary children are invited
to go to Room 112 for a fun time of Bible learning.
Also at 7 pm on Wednesday nights we have Bible focused
activities for elementary age children. We gather on the playground for
free play between 6:30 and 7 pm, and then enjoy Bible learning in Room 112
from 7 to 8 pm. Child care is available for younger kids with
parents in adult classes as needed.
